Israel Rodriguez

Since February 2003, Israel Rodriguez has served as a student affairs administrator at New York University’s Graduate School of Arts and Science. In his capacity of Director of Student Affairs, Mr. Rodriguez works closely with master’s and doctoral degree candidates on a variety of student life related issues including, student health and insurance, on and off campus housing, graduate student government and new student orientation and student life programs. Additionally, he advises undergraduate students about graduate education and participates in national higher education law and disability policy conferences. In 1997, Mr. Rodriguez was diagnosed with Hermansky Pudlak Syndrome, Since his diagnosis, Mr. Rodriguez became a member of the HPS Network and was asked to join the HPS Network Board of Directors in 2005. Mr. Rodriguez earned a Masters of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University in May 2000. Currently, he is a second-year student at Rutgers University-Newark School of Law and is expected to graduate with a Juris Doctor degree in 2013.
