Dr. Yang Zhou is an associate research scientist working in Dr. Jack Elias’s lab at the Yale University School of Medicine. He is the most recent recipient of the HPS Network/American Thoracic Society Foundation research grant.
Dr. Zhou’s project will investigate a potential biomarker and therapeutic target of pulmonary fibrosis, which may one day lead to better diagnostic and treatment options for patients. Dr. Zhou enjoys outdoor hobbies such as hiking.
He received his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. He received his bachelors of science degree in biochemistry at Nanjing University in Nanjing, China.
