The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York exhibited at the HPS Conference in Uniondale, New York to build awareness of the foundation’s programs. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children living with potentially life-threatening health challenges. The foundation has more than 66 chapters around the country.
Children with Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome or Chediak-Higashi Syndrome between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years old may be eligible for a wish from the foundation if they are experiencing significant health problems. The child’s physician makes the final determination about eligibility for a wish.
The wishes are intended to enhance and enrich the human experience through hope, strength and joy.
