The HPS Network manned a booth in the food court at the Oysterfest, Oct 17th in Oyster Bay, New York. The Oysterfest is a civic festival in Oyster Bay hosted by the Rotary Club. Local restaurants and chefs partner with area charities to host the event’s food court and give local charities a chance to raise money.
The festival also includes a display of tall ships, a canine dock diving contest, arts and crafts, and several stages with musical performances.
This year Brian Kenny partnered with the HPS Network. Greg Van Dyke and his assistant Bobby helped set up the booth and provided the use of his van to transport materials.
The HPS Network volunteers served up fried chicken, ribs, fried ravioli, onion rings, chocolate covered pretzels and fruit, water, coffee, hot chocolate, tea and soda.
The HPS Network is very grateful to the volunteers who helped to cook and serve the food, including: Liz Diaz, Adam Diaz, Jackie Falco, Jackie Howell, Bob Bayer, Mares and Dennis Molloy, Joe and JoTina DiGennaro, Carmen Camacho, Frankie Feliciano, Christian Feliciano, Matt McIntire, Yeidyly Vergne, Ann Delia, Chris Gallagher and his children Bethanne and Bryan, and the Appell family, Richard, Donna and Ashley.
The Network had planned to man the booth two days. The second day, however, the booth was closed due to bad weather. Unfortunately, the weather cut into the event’s profits dramatically.
