Once again, the Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome Association Japan attended the 2011 HPS Network Conference in Uniondale, N.Y. The delegation from Japan made it to the conference, even though very little time had passed since their country was hit by an earthquake measuring 9.2 on the Richter Scale.
Five representatives from the group made the trip to New York. They were: Kyoko Hashimoto, Ambassador of the Japanese HPS association; Terumi Shintani, Yuki Naganobu; Nobuyuki Ishii (President of the general albinism group in Japan) and Takuma Ishii, a physician.
